Leopard Geckos are always a big favourite.. I love them!
As easy, if not easier actually, to care for as Beardies.

What i know are available locally off the top of my head are frilled dragons (read there quite aggressive), water dragons, leopard geckos, water dragons, green anoles, butterfly lizards. I know he did have Chameleons at one point so he probably would get more as he still has the setup ready.

arent leopard geckos nocturnal so i would hardly see it?

what about butterfly lizards?

Leos are meant to be nocturnal yes.. Try telling mine that though lol.
I get in between 7pm-8pm every night so get from that time to spend with my pets and they're always awake, I think they know its feeding time then.
They're honestly lovely little geckos.. Im having a huge viv stack built soon and will be breeding leo's, I think they're stunning little things.

geckos do look pretty nice, well leapord ones. never saw it in petshop, never came out when i was there (its scared of me :P). Would most lizards have roughly the same diet as a BD or would some change?

Leo's dont eat fruit and veg, just insects. They eat a lot less than BDs too, and once adults can eat every other day like BDs.

been speaking them in pet shop today and they said if i knew what i wanted they could probably get hold of it for me, i seem to be liking the water dragons. How big would they grow? would it be smaller than BD? was asking him difference in caring for them as to the BD and he said its a case of providing it a wet rather than dry environment by having a large water bowl to swim in and misting the cage often.

Water Dragons can reach 3 foot so alot bigger than a Bearded dragon. They are arboreal too, so once adult will need a very large arboreal viv - Suitable size would be 6 foot tall, 5 foot wide, 3 foot deep or similar.. Didn't the petshop man mention that lol.
Im not gonna recommend a WD after all the trouble Ive had with mine, if you do get one, I suggest getting an adult.
They do need humidity, a large pool for them to submerge their body in, misting the viv to keep humidity 70%+

Anyway, Dee's the best person to speak to about CWD's.. :D

what pet shop do you go to :D caring for a water dragon is nothing what so ever like caring for a beardie lol

w,ds are pretty much little iggys in a lot of ways except they eat livefoods but must also have greens and veggies and can be very hard to look after from babies they dont thrive well at all and the temps and humidity have to be just right an adult wd gets to around 3ft nose to tail tip they need a big viv around 4ft long 3ft high 2ft minimum fully grown preferably 5ft long 4ft high 2-3 wide minimum they need lots of height and climbing branches too

they need a pond to swim in and must be deep enough to cover them all except head

if you decidded to get a water dragon do not get one as a baby from a shop most are captive farmed and do not thrive well the best age with them is around 6mths old from a private breeder they are cheaper and healthier too
but saying all that if you get one that is older and you have the space they make ace pets my frag is adorable and very humanised too

well it isnt a pet shop, they actually specialise in aquatics and reptiles. I actually would really like a snake but dad doesn't like idea of them in the house :(. I do really like water dragons as they're quite colourfull, just like the greens, same as when the shop had rough green snakes i loved the look of them. anything similar that could recommend, i been told iguanas can be quite agressive.

yeh the guy at shop was telling me he had one that was like a metre long, he got rid of it due to it being aggresive and whipping him wiht its tail all the time.

Are all geckos nocturnal? i watched that life in cold blood (lizard one) on the BBC iPlayer and i believe there was a gecko on there that had fantastic green colours, what would the name of that be and is it easy to keep/obtain?

I am also thinking of a Chameleon but aren't these a really difficult one to look after?

I know i'm full of questions but anybody know of the exo terra glass vivariums? i know they were too small for BD as i liked them when i first saw them but found out about them being too small, would there be anything that would fit in one of those? just there a bit smaller, pretty nice to look at so i don't have to be fussy where i place it. never know i may be able to get one sooner then as no need to worry about space as much :)
